Daisy Gilardini is a renowned conservation photographer specializing in the Polar Regions, with a particular emphasis on Antarctic wildlife and North American bears. Originally from Switzerland, Daisy now calls Vancouver, Canada, her home.

Her love affair with Antarctica began during her first trip there in 1997. Captivated by its raw beauty and pristine wilderness, she has since dedicated her career to capturing the majesty of the Polar Regions. Over the past 27 years, Daisy has participated in more than 100 expeditions to Antarctica and the Arctic.

Daisy is a respected member of the International League of Conservation Photographers (ILCP) and the SeaLegacy Collective. She is also a fellow of the New York-based Explorers Club and a member of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society.

In the photography industry, Daisy represents several leading brands as an ambassador, including Nikon, Gitzo, Lowepro, Eizo, SanDisk, and WesternDigital. Her work has graced the pages of internationally acclaimed magazines like National Geographic, BBC Wildlife, Canadian Geographic, Nature’s Best, and Outdoor Photography. Additionally, her powerful images have been utilized by prominent NGOs.

Since 2018, Daisy has served as a photographer in residence with Canadian Geographic and has been honored with the title of Greenpeace Antarctic Ambassador.

Her work has been recognized by some of the world’s most prestigious photo contests, including BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year, Travel Photography of the Year and the Nature’s Best Windland Smith Rice International Awards.

Daisy's childhood passion for the natural world has blossomed into a lifelong commitment to conservation. Through her evocative imagery and storytelling, she strives to raise awareness about the urgent need to preserve the world’s remaining wild places for future generations.
