Benjamin Barakat is a British-Lebanese astrophotographer renowned for his stunning images of the night sky. Born in England in 1987, his passion for photography developed from spending countless nights stargazing with his wife.
Ben began his photography journey in 2018, and his work quickly gained recognition. His photos have been featured in major outlets such as National Geographic, CNN, BBC, Forbes, The Telegraph, and Vice, and have been displayed at the Royal Museum in England for over a year.
One of Ben’s most notable achievements is being honored as the Milky Way Photographer of the Year by Capture the Atlas for four consecutive years. He is also a content creator for Sony in Switzerland, specializing in low-light and night sky photography.
Ben leads international photography tours and workshops, sharing his expertise in capturing celestial landscapes. Additionally, he works as a researcher at the Sphinx Observatory in Switzerland, the highest observatory in Europe.
